Preparing for the Friendship Peak Expedition » is not only about physical training. Packing the right equipment is equally important, especially when you are heading to an altitude of 5,289 metres. Cold temperatures, snow, strong winds and long summit hours make proper clothing and essential gear necessary.
A well-planned backpack should contain everything you need without becoming unnecessarily heavy. For Friendship Peak, keeping your main pack around 10–12 kg can make long and steep sections more manageable.
