QuickBooks Desktop allows multiple users to work on the same company file through multi-user mode. However, sometimes QuickBooks cannot switch from single-user mode to multi-user mode, preventing employees from accessing the company file simultaneously.
This problem may occur because hosting settings are incorrect, QuickBooks Database Server Manager is not configured properly, firewall settings block network communication, or the company file folder has insufficient permissions. Network connection problems and outdated software can also prevent multi-user access.
