There are two main techniques used in female hair transplants:
1. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
Individual hair follicles are extracted from the donor area (typically the back of the scalp) and implanted into thinning areas.
Less scarring and faster recovery time.
Ideal for women who want to wear their hair short.
2. Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
A strip of hair-bearing skin is removed from the back of the scalp and dissected into individual follicular units.
Suitable for women with significant hair thinning.
Provides a higher number of grafts in a single session.
