The FMCSA SAP Program is designed to ensure safety on the roads. The program includes random drug testing, as well as testing after accidents. Drivers who are found to be using drugs or alcohol may be placed on probation, or may be required to take part in a treatment program. The program also includes education and training on substance abuse and its effects on driving.
