FBCS is threatening me and calling my family. Is this normal for them?

I’m hoping someone here has some experience with this. I’ve been getting calls from FBCS, and it’s honestly starting to scare me. The caller is extremely rude and uses a threatening tone, saying they will garnish my wages or even have me arrested if I don’t settle a debt immediately.

The worst part is they started calling my parents. They didn’t tell them it was about a debt, but they asked for me and said it was a "personal matter," which really upset my mom. I know they can’t discuss my information with them, but just the act of calling them feels like intimidation.

I’ve been reading up on my rights because I can’t afford this stress. I found a guide that explains exactly what FBCS is not allowed to do: Stop FBCS Debt Collection Harassment.

It says contacting third parties like family and using threats is often a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

My question is: For those who have dealt with FBCS's aggressive tactics, what finally got them to back off? Did filing a complaint with the CFPB or the FTC actually help? I'm considering talking to a consumer protection lawyer for a free consultation, but I wanted to see if anyone here has been through this and has any advice. Thanks.
