Do I really need to change the fluid or is this just a money grab?

So I took my Q7 in for its 60k service at a well-known garage in Al Quoz and they told me I need a full transmission fluid flush, but honestly the car shifts perfectly fine and I haven't noticed any issues at all. I know these ZF boxes are supposed to be "sealed for life" according to some people, but then others say that's complete nonsense and the fluid degrades just like any other oil, especially with the kind of stop-start driving we deal with in Sharjah traffic. I found a guide that covers everything you need to know about Audi transmission fluid and it mentioned how the fluid not only lubricates but also acts as a hydraulic medium for all the clutch packs and valve body operations, which kind of made me second guess my initial instinct to just ignore it. The thing is the quote they gave me was pretty steep, around 2500 dirhams, and I'm torn because I don't want to throw money away on something that isn't necessary, but I also don't want to be that guy who skips preventative maintenance and ends up with a 15k repair bill down the line. Has anyone here actually had transmission issues from neglecting the fluid change or is this one of those things where the workshops just push it because it's a high margin job?
