How to Stop Penn Credit Debt Collection Phone Harassment?

caitianzhihot 5 Hours+ 1

I'm sharing my experience because I'm hoping someone here has advice. For the past few weeks, Penn Credit has been blowing up my phone. It started with calls about a toll bill I barely remembered, and now they are calling multiple times a day.

I finally answered once and it was incredibly stressful. I've seen people say they are a legitimate company, but the tactics feel aggressive. I just want to know how to stop Penn Credit debt collection phone harassment legally. I read that sending a cease and desist letter is an option, but I'm worried that might trigger a lawsuit.

Has anyone here successfully gotten them to stop calling? I found this article that talks about validating the debt and your rights under the FDCPA, but I wanted to hear from real people first. Here is the link if it helps anyone else: https://protectionforconsumers.com/tired-of-penn-credit-debt-collection-harassment/

Any advice would be appreciated.
