Shilajit is a tar-like, sticky material most often seen on the rocks of high mountains, especially in the Himalayan region between India and Nepal.  Shilajit resin is traditionally collected from the rocks of the Himalayas and has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic traditions as a revitalizing substance.  Shilajit is linked with rasayana preparations which in traditional Ayurveda are used to improve vitality and general well-being. The composition of shilajit may differ depending on where it comes from, how it is collected and processed.  So before you buy pure Himalayan shilajit resin, check the source of the resin, method of purification and quality info.
