As an engineer I see lighting design and installation as a vital part of electrical and MEP project planning. Lighting design requires calculating illumination levels preparing layouts, coordinating connections and reviewing installation requirements. These steps help create lighting systems for different building types. Lighting design also involves choosing fixtures considering energy consumption, planning maintenance access and understanding the intended use of each space. All these factors support lighting arrangements, in commercial, industrial and office environments.
