The Charaka Samhita, among the oldest texts in Ayurveda, is the ancient Indian system for healing, in fact, the most authoritative of all. It gives an attribution to the sage Charaka and is dated around 200 BCE. The internal medicine, Kaya Chikitsa, is described in it. Composed in Sanskrit, it treats all matters about health and disease, diagnosis and therapy, life, and livelihood. How does one have to maintain their body, and mind? and activity in harmony for achieving total well-being is emphasized here. The Charaka Samhita includes pharmacology, anatomy, and medical ethics. It has attracted the analysis and application of scholarship and practice over centuries, not leaving tradition and empty modernity untouched. The holistic point of view taught in this written 'etc' continues to be reflected in practices of contemporary health; thus, it remains the cornerstone of Ayurvedic wisdom.
