SAP Evaluationis a process of assessing the use of alcohol or other drugs by a person. The assessment can be done by self-report, observation, and/or analysis of bodily fluids. To identify substance addiction issues and create a treatment plan for them, substance abuse evaluations are conducted. It also provides information about the level of risk for developing addiction, which will help in making decisions about treatment options. The evaluation can be done by a psychiatrist, psychologist, or licensed clinical social worker.
